backup removal
About this tag
Discussions about backup removal on WindowsForum.com focus on managing and deleting specific files or folders within existing Windows backups, particularly in Windows 7. Users seek methods to selectively remove unwanted data from backup sets without deleting the entire backup. Common concerns include avoiding data loss during manual removal and ensuring backup integrity. The tag covers practical troubleshooting for users who need to clean up or modify their backup archives while preserving other backed-up content.
During a Windows 7 Backup, I backed up a lot of unwanted folders and files. Can I remove these (manually) from the backup file or do I need to delete the backup and run it again without the unwanted folders included? (which I'd rather not do incase the backup fails for some reason)
