The bcd commands tag covers discussions about using Boot Configuration Data (BCD) commands to troubleshoot and repair Windows boot issues. In the forum, users share bcd commands to fix boot problems after partition changes or system resets, such as when a Windows 8 installation fails to boot after repartitioning. Common scenarios include rebuilding the BCD store, setting boot entries, and resolving errors like 'partition is not found' when attempting to create rescue disks or reset the system. The tag is relevant for users needing to restore boot functionality using command-line tools like bootrec or bcdedit.
