blank desktop
About this tag
The blank desktop tag on WindowsForum.com covers issues where Windows boots to a blank screen with only a cursor, often after updates, power loss, or partition changes. Common themes include the desktop failing to load after the welcome screen, a blinking cursor, and error messages like 'location is not available.' Users report problems with Windows 7 and Windows 10, and solutions often involve safe mode, system repair, or graphics driver changes. The tag also includes cases where the desktop appears blank during or after a clean installation of Windows 7.
