blurry icons
About this tag
Blurry icons on Windows can stem from incorrect screen resolution, outdated graphics drivers, or display connection issues. Users report icons appearing fuzzy or oversized after upgrading to Windows 7, especially when using TV displays via HDMI or S-video. Problems often occur when the resolution is set below the monitor's native 1080p, causing icons to stretch or blur. Updating graphics card drivers may help, but some find that the resolution dropdown is limited or mismatched between monitors. In other cases, icons blink and freeze upon TV startup, suggesting a handshake or timing issue. Troubleshooting steps include adjusting display settings, checking cable connections, and ensuring the correct driver is installed for the GPU.
