The backgrounf to my problem is as follows: I had some problems with my windows 10, and wanted to dual boot windows with Ubuntu. Thus I thought that I was gone move all of my files to an external HDD, then factory reset my computer, and then proceed with the dual boot setup...

So today I went ahead and installed some windows updates, and while they were installing I went downstairs to eat dinner and came back to my computer not being able to start up at all.

hey guys, i tried to create a bootable flash install of windows seven on a reformated hard drive, the flash drive (16gb) was brand new and formated to ntfs, i followed the instructions from this link:

tried to boot from it and got the message "operating system missing", any ideas...
