brightness slider
About this tag
The brightness slider tag covers discussions about the missing or malfunctioning brightness slider in Windows 10 Display settings. Common issues include the slider not appearing in Settings > System > Display, often related to outdated or incompatible Intel HD Graphics drivers. Users report that the slider may disappear after Windows updates or driver changes, and troubleshooting steps include updating graphics drivers, checking for monitor driver issues, or using alternative methods like the Action Center or keyboard shortcuts. The tag focuses on practical solutions for restoring the brightness control on Windows 10 PCs.
I am running Intel HD Graphics with ver. 10.18.10.4358 on Windows 10 Pro 22H2. I used to have a brightness slider before, but lately, it has disappeared. I have tried everything, to no avail. When I went to Notifications and Actions, I saw nothing in there to do with displays.
