I suddenly ran into a problem last night with sound. At first, VLC wouldn't produce any sound, although I later solved that by simply realizing it had somehow become muted in the Windows 7 volume mixer. Shortly after that, Chrome's sound also stopped working. It, too, was muted in the volume...
