build 7260
About this tag
Build 7260 is a pre-release version of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, compiled on June 12, 2009, with the build string 6.1.7260.0.win7_rtm.090612-2110. It was widely discussed as a potential Release to Manufacturing (RTM) candidate or escrow build, meaning it was being evaluated for final release. Users reported that this build resolved certain issues, such as game freezing in World of Warcraft, compared to earlier builds like 7231. The build was distributed as a VHD image for both 32-bit and 64-bit editions. Enthusiasts sought download links to upgrade from the Windows 7 Release Candidate, while others debated whether Microsoft would wait months for general availability after reaching this milestone.
I have Windows 7 RC right now, but I want to upgrade to the latest version, which I believe is build 7260. Does anyone have a link where I can get the 32bit version?
I've searched online, I just don't know if its safe to download.
Thanks.
Coming soon. ;)
As soon as I have it, you guys will know. :D

the latest of a long series of leaks is Windows 7 Build 7260 which made its way on the Internet just yesterday. The build is available as a 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate VHD image (virtual hard drive image) with the build string 6.1.7260.0.win7_rtm.090612-2110 which...
With bulid 7260 (RTM escrow) MS started the RTM builds, and it's only few day before the final RTM build is compiled (if not already, 7262?).
So why MS will wait 4 months (Third a year) for the General availability!, I mean they will miss Back-to-school season that way!
Side note: why MS still...
