About this tag
Discussions tagged with 'control issues' on WindowsForum.com cover a range of problems where users lose command over system or peripheral functions. Common themes include firewalls that resist user settings, such as Windows Firewall turning itself back on or ignoring exceptions, and input devices like Apple mice or joysticks behaving erratically. Other topics involve folder permission conflicts that prevent access or ownership changes, and media streaming failures where devices cannot be controlled. A specific technical issue involves the CertEnroll control not working in Internet Explorer on Windows 7 or Server 2008 R2. These threads typically seek troubleshooting steps for regaining control over software or hardware components.
