copyscheduling
About this tag
Discussions about copyscheduling on WindowsForum.com focus on the behavior of Windows file copy operations when multiple file transfers are initiated simultaneously. Users report that starting a second copy operation causes the first to pause, rather than running concurrently. This leads to frustration when users expect the faster transfer to complete first. The tag covers user experiences and troubleshooting related to how Windows schedules and prioritizes multiple file copy tasks, particularly in Windows 10 and 11 environments.
Is it just me, or have Microsoft removed their brilliant feature of copying two sets of files at once? I copy a big set of files. It's taking ages. I tell it to copy another set. The first set pauses! Why? I want the quickest to end first, so something is achieved earlier!
