About this tag
Discussions tagged with crash symptoms on WindowsForum.com focus on system crashes that lead to boot failures, often requiring a manual power reset to restart. A common scenario involves crashes occurring during idle periods, such as overnight, resulting in the system entering the BIOS with a message to insert a bootable device. Users report that the boot drive may not appear in the BIOS after a crash, suggesting potential hardware detection issues. Troubleshooting steps include checking BIOS settings like ACPI mode and verifying SATA device recognition. These threads explore the relationship between crash symptoms and subsequent boot problems, aiming to identify root causes and solutions.
