About this tag
The crt monitors tag on WindowsForum.com gathers discussion of keeping and repurposing older cathode-ray tube displays rather than treating them as obsolete. A recurring theme is practical reuse: retro PC gaming, connecting a Dreamcast over VGA, watching older television content, and even running a CRT alongside a Windows 11 setup. Community posts tend to weigh whether a specific monitor suits the content and connections at hand, and they push back on blanket claims that CRTs beat modern flat panels. Expect a mix of nostalgia, hands-on configuration advice, and realistic notes on what these displays still do well.
