cut function

I love sticky notes but am having a problem. 2 days ago the exe file just disappeared. I downloaded it and reinstalled it. Early today I quite being able to cut from one note to another. Now I can no longer get notes to close. I've reinstalled and rebooted with no success. Suggestions...
