data termination
About this tag
Discussions tagged with 'data termination' on WindowsForum.com focus on network bridging and Ethernet connectivity issues in Windows 7 environments. A recurring theme involves troubleshooting slow internet speeds on a secondary PC connected via a long Cat6 patch cable to a Verizon FiOS router, with static IP addressing configured. Users explore whether cable length, router port limitations, or network bridging between two PCs could cause data termination problems that degrade performance. The tag covers practical home networking scenarios where proper signal termination and cable quality affect throughput, particularly when integrating multiple wired connections through a single router.
Hey everyone;
I recently built a computer and I'm using an integrated NIC (only because I'm too lazy to buy my own) on two PC's.
My current PC is right next to the router, with a patch (Straight-Through) cable running to Port 1 on the Verizon FiOS router, and the Internet speed is incredible...
