About this tag
The Dell System B3 tag covers issues related to booting and BIOS configuration on Dell computers, particularly the 'Strike the F1 key to continue' error. This error often occurs when the system detects a hardware change, such as a new hard drive, and requires user intervention to proceed. The tag includes troubleshooting steps for accessing boot menus, using bootable USB drives like Hiren's Boot CD, and resolving BIOS settings that prevent normal startup. Users encountering this error may need to adjust boot order, disable certain BIOS prompts, or ensure proper drive detection. The tag is relevant for Dell system owners dealing with boot failures or configuration challenges.
I have used Hiren's Boot CD a great deal, but now I am unable to. Whenever I click Enter on USB Flash Device in the menu, instead of opening up Hiren's Boot CD, it is giving me the message:
When I strike F1, it just repeats the same message ad infinitum.
I have Hiren's on a 4GB flash drive...
