deselect

About this tag
The tag 'deselect' on WindowsForum.com covers user issues related to items or windows becoming deselected unexpectedly. Common problems include Windows Explorer retaining a selection outline after deselecting files, active windows losing focus repeatedly, and full-screen applications minimizing due to automatic deselection. Users also seek methods to deselect all file types in the Windows Indexer's Advanced settings, as manual deselection of hundreds of entries is impractical. These threads focus on Windows 7 and later versions, with troubleshooting steps involving task manager, error reporting settings, and indexing options. The tag aggregates practical solutions for unwanted deselection behavior in Windows.

How do I "deselect all" from this File Types list? I only want to index .exe from my portable apps folder; deselecting file types one by one is not an option as there are hundreds. Thanks
