About this tag
Display flicker on WindowsForum.com covers real-world reports of screen flashing, brightness shifts, and colour corruption, often appearing after a graphics driver update. The tagged discussion examines Nvidia's GeForce Game Ready 616.56 driver, where users on GTX 16- and RTX 30-, 40-, and 50-series cards described black or white flashes, and how the later 616.92 fix addressed only intermittent browser flicker on certain websites rather than every desktop, game, monitor, colour-depth, or refresh-rate symptom. The emphasis is on separating reproducible post-update problems from hardware failure assumptions and on understanding what a vendor fix actually covers.
