About this tag
The display upgrade tag covers discussions about replacing a laptop's LCD panel with a higher-resolution model, such as upgrading from 1080p to 1440p. Topics include compatibility considerations, hardware replacement procedures, and sourcing replacement panels. For example, a Lenovo T470s owner explores swapping its 1080p display for a 1440p panel, noting that the same motherboard supports both resolutions and that the replacement involves removing the bezel, unscrewing the panel, and disconnecting a cable. Users share practical advice on tools, ESD precautions, and verifying panel specifications before purchase.
