drive seating
About this tag
Discussions about drive seating on WindowsForum.com focus on hardware detection issues, particularly when SSDs are mounted in ICY DOCK enclosures. Users troubleshoot problems where drives are not recognized by the system, often tracing the cause to improper physical connection between the drive and the internal interface. Manual reseating of the drive is a common recommended solution. Topics involve Supermicro motherboards, BIOS settings like AHCI, and SSD models such as OSZ Vertex and Agility. The tag covers practical advice for ensuring reliable drive detection through correct seating.
