About this tag
The dual mode tag on WindowsForum.com covers several distinct scenarios. One thread discusses a fix for FTP clients using dual-mode IPv6 sockets failing to connect to IPv4 servers in Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2. Another thread explores running Windows 7 in dual mode with Windows XP in a virtual machine. A user reports needing to switch an Nvidia control panel to dual mode for an external monitor on Windows 7. There is also a mention of a dual between Metro and desktop IE10 in Windows 8, and a user installing a dual-mode Vista and Windows 7 setup. The tag generally refers to configurations involving two modes or operating systems.
