About this tag
The Dell Latitude E6400 is a business laptop that appears in discussions about BIOS updates, driver issues, and Windows 7 installation. Users have reported problems with USB driver error code 39, automatic driver installations with garbled descriptions, and Firewire video capture not working. A BIOS update was released to fix underperformance and throttling issues on the E6400 and similar models. Some users also experienced difficulties reading Windows 7 installer discs on other laptops but not on the E6400. Additionally, a thread about a desktop Core 2 Duo E6400 processor mentions Vista misreporting CPU speed, though this is a different product with the same model number.
