About this tag
The tag 'editable' on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about the ability to modify settings, files, or interface elements. Topics include Event Viewer custom views becoming read-only after log wipes, forum post prefixes not being editable after creation, and converting PDFs to editable Word documents. Users seek solutions for restoring editability in Windows tools and applications, often involving permissions, software settings, or third-party tools. The tag reflects common troubleshooting scenarios where expected editability is lost or restricted.
When I start MS build-in Event Viewer, then go to Custom Views--->Adminstrative Events and right click and select "Properties" then all the parameters are disabled resp. read-only.
