engineering careers

The engineering careers tag collects WindowsForum.com discussion about how technology shifts affect the working lives and prospects of engineers. Coverage here examines claims made about AI agents and software architecture, including Satya Nadella's argument that software should be organized around the work rather than the reverse, and why that is a product design point rather than a hiring forecast. The focus stays on separating loud headlines from quieter evidence, which is useful for engineers weighing career advice, tooling changes, and the durable foundations that still matter in day-to-day development work.
