Why wont windows let me install any cd/dvd burning software on my computer? I get error 1603 with some programs while other programs stop mid installation and just say access denied. And yes i am installing as an admin.
I'm hoping someone can help me with this as I've been trying for hours now..
When I try to install Bluestacks the process gets to about 95% (creating app shortcuts) and then fails due to a Adobe Reader X (10.1.7) could not be installed 1603 error.

My windows installer (v.5.0) seems to be corrupted or something. I can't install or uninstall anything that uses .msi and i can't seem to find any way to fix this.
I want to uninstall OpenOffice, but get error that it can't find the .msi file. A search of my computer cannot find it either...

I am getting this error when I try to install COD4 on my new Win7 pc:

When I cancel out I get Error 1603 Consult Win.Installer Help(Msi.chm)
I tried to install under Admin and still got the same error.
