About this tag
The event service tag covers discussions about the Sony Vaio Event Service, a system service required for hotkeys and function buttons on Sony Vaio laptops. Users report issues with the service not starting automatically, settings not saving after reboot, and conflicts with Windows User Account Control (UAC) on Windows 7. Troubleshooting steps include enabling virtualization and AHCI in BIOS, updating BIOS, and manually setting the service to automatic startup. The tag focuses on driver and service configuration problems specific to older Sony Vaio models running Windows 7 64-bit.
If you are reading this post than you already know the answer: neither Sony nor NVIDIA have given you the blessing to install Windows 7 64 bit. So officially it is not approved or supported by booth companies.
Well then, the question is can you do it? The answer is yes, absolutely! Will there...
