A photographer friend of mine has an old PC running Windows XP/VISTA. He only needs to use the Scanner connected to this PC with an expansion card ["2"=in the picture].
The expansion card ["1"=in the picture] is a graphics card only with a VGA Slot.
"3" = should be SATA Disk
"4" = should be IDE...
I'm thinking of getting a couple of these cards for the two computers I have that only have USB 2.0 capabilities, but in shopping around, one small question has arisen...some of the cards have an interior 4 pin molex connector, which apparently is for providing power to higher powered...

What would be the advantages/disadvantages of onboard sound vs a sound card? With a sound add on card are there headers for front panels connections.? Would I see/hear a big difference in the sound?
