file scan

About this tag
The file scan tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about scanning system files for integrity and malware detection. Users often run system file scans via command prompt to check for corruption, such as when troubleshooting BSOD errors like driver_irql_not_less_or_equal or error 0xa0000001. Other threads address antivirus scanning, including which files to scan for efficiency, issues with USB 3.0 scanners on Windows 7, and problems where right-click scan options become unresponsive. The tag also includes reports of trojans detected by third-party tools like Advanced SystemCare, where scans flag threats but antivirus software fails to act. Overall, the tag reflects common Windows troubleshooting involving file scanning utilities and antivirus software.
