About this tag

Discussions on WindowsForum.com cover modifying the folderband using registry edits and resource hacking tools like Resource Hacker. Users explore changing the folderband's position from the top to the bottom of the Explorer window, as well as customizing its icons and commands. Specific techniques involve editing the UIFile section of shell32.dll and mapping commands from the CommandStore registry key, such as Windows.navpane, to repurpose icon spaces. These customizations require advanced knowledge of Windows internals and are aimed at power users seeking to tailor the Explorer interface beyond default settings.
