frequent folders
About this tag
Frequent folders in Windows File Explorer are a key part of the Quick access feature, which displays recently and frequently used folders for faster navigation. Users can pin folders to Quick access or rely on the automatic list of frequent folders that appears in the File Explorer jump list on the taskbar. However, some users encounter issues where clicking "Open file location" on a frequent folder or search result incorrectly opens the Desktop folder instead of the intended target folder. This behavior can disrupt workflow and is a known troubleshooting topic among Windows users. Discussions on WindowsForum.com cover both the intended functionality of frequent folders and solutions for related glitches.
