About this tag
The tag 'fsb' on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about Front Side Bus settings, primarily in the context of overclocking and system stability. Users share experiences with FSB overclocking limits, such as hitting a wall at 221 MHz on certain CPUs, and troubleshooting BSODs where fluctuating FSB values in CPU-Z are noted. Compatibility of FSB software with Windows 7 64-bit and Nvidia/AMD systems is also a recurring topic. Additionally, users report freezes when adjusting FSB in BIOS or with NVIDIA tools on Windows 7 builds. These threads focus on older hardware and BIOS-level tweaking, often involving voltage adjustments and RAM frequency changes to push FSB higher.

    Windows 7 Over/underclocking causes freeze

I don't know if this has been addressed before. In build 7000 32-bit when I change the FSB in the BIOS (or using nVidia tools) it freezes and requires a reboot. My CPU is already overclocked to 3GHz when I installed it and I can't change it without said freeze. Just a heads-up.
