About this tag
The G31 motherboard is an older Intel chipset commonly paired with Core 2 Duo processors and DDR2 RAM. Discussions on WindowsForum.com focus on whether systems with a G31 motherboard can run Windows 10, particularly when upgrading from Windows 7. Users typically ask about adding RAM (e.g., from 1GB to 3-4GB) and whether to use the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 10. Performance considerations and hardware limitations are recurring themes, as the G31 motherboard lacks modern features like UEFI and may have driver compatibility issues. The tag covers real-world troubleshooting and upgrade advice for legacy hardware running current Windows versions.

    Windows 10 Can I run windows 10?

I have an old pc, which has Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 processor, 1GB DDR2 Ram, 500GB hdd, g31 motherboard. Windows 7 32bit runs quite good on it. If I add ram, and increase it to 3/4GB ram. Will it run windows 10 64bit perfectly, Or I'll have to use windows 10 32bit instead?
