About this tag
The gbrunch tag collects WindowsForum.com coverage of Googlebook OS, the Android-based operating system Google introduced alongside its Googlebook line while keeping ChromeOS desktop foundations. The tagged discussion focuses on hands-on testing by hardware tinkerers rather than official guidance, including a report of Googlebook OS booting on an ASUS Chromebook Plus with smooth performance but broken Wi-Fi and audio. Broader questions raised for laptop owners and IT administrators include when existing devices will receive an official upgrade path and whether moving to a full Android-based architecture will slow older x86 processors, since Google has said device eligibility and migration details will come later.
