About this tag
The tag 'german version' covers discussions about Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 editions localized for German-speaking users. Topics include a known issue where keyboard shortcuts for Shut Down and Hibernate are incorrectly mapped to the R key in the German version, requiring a fix. Users also ask whether Windows 7 product keys are language-independent, specifically if a German key can activate an English installation. Additionally, a user with the German version describes troubleshooting folder sharing permissions, noting that terminology differences may affect communication. The tag focuses on language-specific quirks and compatibility concerns for German Windows users.
Fixes an issue in which the keyboard shortcuts for the Shut down and Hibernate commands do not work as expected. This issue occurs on a computer that is running the German version of Windows 7 or the German version of Windows Server 2008 R2.

Hi there
As it is hard to get FPP in our country, I'd like to buy it from Germany. Problem is, in Germany they sell German versions. Ok, one can install English MUI but I am not sure if this is 100% English then. In previous Windows it wasn't.
Now one can get unactivated Windows 7 English...

I'm having some issues with sharing folders under windows 7. But let me first say that I use the german version of windows so my terminiology may not always be right (not to mention my english ;-)) ... I hope you get it nonetheless.
So I'm describing the steps I did (numerous times -_-)...
