gridcraft

GridCraft is the spreadsheet component of developer Brandon Thomas's ArtCraft project, a free and open-source alternative aimed at Microsoft Excel on Windows. The tag covers forum discussion of GridCraft alongside its companion apps WordCraft and DeckCraft, which target Word and PowerPoint respectively. Coverage is candid about maturity: these are explicitly alpha-stage tools, so the conversation centers on what they offer versus Microsoft Office rather than on production readiness. Because the sources are limited, the tag reflects early reporting and community reaction to an emerging open-source office suite rather than hands-on tutorials or long-term testing.
