gtx 480
About this tag
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 is a graphics card that users have reported experiencing various issues with, particularly on Windows 7 systems. Common problems include driver crashes, Blue Screens of Death (BSOD), and game instability. Users have encountered BSODs when playing games or watching Blu-ray discs, as well as freezing on the Windows welcome screen. Driver version 285.27 Beta was noted to cause crashes when navigating the Metro interface. Some users attempted to resolve issues by downgrading drivers or adding a secondary PhysX card, which introduced new problems like loss of 3D Vision functionality. The GTX 480 was also used in new PC builds that experienced memory management BSODs and game errors. These threads highlight troubleshooting efforts for driver and hardware compatibility with the GTX 480.

After installing eVGA GTX480 card, I've confronted with sporadic BSOD,
when playing RailWorks 2 Train Simulator and playing Blue ray disk.
On the otherhand, I never experienced this problem under Windows XP Pro

Hi everyone,
I just got a new computer which is great except it keeps freezing on the Welcome screen when I start it up. Sometimes I just reboot and it'll work but sometimes I have to leave it for a few hours and come back and it'll work. Any ideas?
