Halo remakes are a recurring discussion point on WindowsForum.com, where members track reports about Halo Studios and the future of the franchise. The most recent tagged thread covers layoffs at Halo Studios and an insider list of projects reportedly planned before the cuts, including remakes of Halo 2 and Halo 3, Halo 7, and a smaller game based on the Halo: First Strike novel. Microsoft confirmed the layoffs and who will make the next Halo game, but has not confirmed any of those four projects, so the discussion treats the remake claims as unverified reporting rather than announced releases.
