hickup
About this tag
The tag 'hickup' on WindowsForum.com refers to unexpected file system glitches, particularly NTFS errors that cause folders to be misplaced into protected system directories like the System Volume Information folder. Users encountering such issues often struggle with moving large data back due to permission restrictions and lack of free space. Discussions focus on troubleshooting methods such as taking ownership, using CACLS, safe mode, and third-party tools, though success may be limited. The tag covers file system anomalies rather than general system crashes or software bugs.
Hi Guys, hope you can help me with this problem.
Due to a NTFS hickup, a folder (1,3TB) ended wrongly up inside the system volume information (win7) folder. Wanted to move it back to it's root, but to no avail...
Tried take ownership, cacls, safe mode, tools etc. :(
Need to to really move it...
