htc apache
About this tag
The HTC Apache, also known as the Verizon XV6700, is a Windows Mobile device discussed in the context of Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) connectivity issues on Windows 7. Users report that the device powers and charges when connected via USB, appearing as 'PocketPC USB Sync' in Device Manager, but WMDC fails to launch or recognize the device for synchronization. Troubleshooting steps such as uninstalling WMDC, removing the device and driver, and reconnecting only reinstall the sync driver without resolving the issue. The device still works with Windows XP using ActiveSync, highlighting compatibility challenges between legacy Windows Mobile devices and newer Windows versions.
