About this tag
The tag 'icons stacked' on WindowsForum.com covers a specific Windows 10 desktop display issue where icons become stacked or rearranged unexpectedly, often accompanied by other system problems. In the primary thread, a user reports that after logging in, desktop icons are stacked rather than in their custom arrangement, along with a missing wallpaper, unresponsive Start button and taskbar, and a 'Fatal Error: Failed to execute script main' message. The user also encounters permission issues despite being an administrator. This suggests the stacked icons symptom may be linked to deeper system errors, possibly involving user profile corruption or permission failures. Discussions focus on troubleshooting these combined desktop and permission anomalies in Windows 10.
