I have a Win Server and a Hyper-V machine on it. I would like to image a system that is hyper-v using Veeam for example and restore the system from an image on another computer but as a standalone server without hyper-v. Will it go? Has anyone done this? Can I only restore it as a virtual machine?

I have been imaging my system to avoid having to install. It comes in handy as long as the drive is healthy. Should I keep a clone also in case of drive failure or is it better to clean install when the drive fails..
