inop
About this tag
The tag 'inop' on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about hardware components that are inoperative or non-functional, particularly intermittent issues. A recurring theme is mouse and touch pad failures on laptops, where the device does not work on some boots but functions after a reboot. These threads seek troubleshooting solutions for hardware that is inop, often related to driver conflicts, power management settings, or BIOS configurations. The tag is used for problems where a component is not operational at startup but may work after a restart, indicating a potential initialization or timing issue. Users share experiences and seek advice for resolving inop conditions on Windows systems.
