input device problem
About this tag
The tag 'input device problem' covers issues where Windows fails to recognize or properly install input hardware such as touchscreens, mice, and other HID devices. Users report missing touchscreen entries in Device Manager under Human Interface Devices, even after installing all available drivers from manufacturer sites like Microsoft and HP. The problem often persists despite other input devices working correctly, indicating a specific driver or detection failure for certain components like ELAN WoT Capable Device. Troubleshooting typically involves driver reinstallation, checking HID device listings, and identifying unknown hardware entries.
