installation differences
About this tag
The tag 'installation differences' covers discussions about the distinctions between installing a native language version of Windows versus adding a language pack to an existing installation. In the context of Windows 7 and Windows 8, users compare the process, requirements, and potential impacts on performance, usability, and appearance. Key points include the need for specific Windows editions like Ultimate or Enterprise for language pack installation on Windows 7, while Windows 8 supports it on any edition. The tag explores whether there are fundamental differences in the user experience between a pre-installed English OS and one modified via a language pack.
Hi,
Could someone please tell me what the difference, if any, there are between installing an original English version of Windows 7 (or 8 for that matter) and installing an English Language Pack through Windows Update?
So far, I just understand that I need either an Ultimate or Enterprise...
