About this tag
The 'installed games' tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about games that come preinstalled with Windows or are installed via the Microsoft Store, as well as issues with how Windows displays and manages these games. Topics include nostalgia for classic preinstalled Windows games like Chess and their decline in modern Windows versions, problems with game shortcuts not appearing in the Start menu or Game Explorer, and limitations of the Games menu compared to other Windows libraries. Users seek troubleshooting help for missing games, blank Game Explorer in Windows 7, and detection of previously installed games. The tag reflects user experiences with built-in Windows games and system-level game management features.
