About this tag
Intel Arc Battlemage appears here mainly through a single hardware discussion: a MAXSUN Z890 Mini-ITX workstation that relocates the graphics card using MCIO cabling instead of a standard motherboard expansion slot. The thread frames this as an internal GPU layout change rather than an external enclosure, and notes the demonstration at Intel Connection 2026. For WindowsForum readers, the tag is a narrow but useful pointer to compact desktop builds, Mini-ITX design tradeoffs, and how Intel Arc Battlemage cards may fit into unconventional chassis arrangements. Coverage is currently limited, so expect hardware-focused conversation rather than broad driver or gaming benchmarks.

MAXSUN has demonstrated a compact Z890 Mini-ITX workstation that connects its graphics card through MCIO cabling rather than a conventional motherboard expansion slot. The result is a different internal arrangement: the motherboard and GPU occupy opposite sides of the chassis, giving designers...
