About this tag
Intel ProSet is a suite of wireless utilities and drivers for Intel Wi-Fi adapters, often used to manage network connections and troubleshoot connectivity issues. On WindowsForum.com, discussions about Intel ProSet frequently involve problems with public network access, such as failed ping tests to default gateways or DHCP servers. Users also report challenges with Cisco LEAP authentication, noting that Intel ProSet previously enabled LEAP support on Windows Vista but that this functionality is missing or difficult to configure on Windows 7. These threads highlight the role of Intel ProSet in resolving enterprise network authentication and connectivity problems, particularly in environments using older Cisco access points.

Anyone figure out how to use Cisco LEAP on Windows 7? Normally on Vista, you install the Intel ProSet utils and LEAP is then available as an authentication protocol - but that is not true on Windows 7 - it's a pain to use wired networking at work --- WPA2 works fine at home.
