intel x3100

About this tag
The Intel X3100 is an integrated graphics chipset found in older laptops like the ThinkPad R61 and Toshiba u300-13L, based on the GM 965 chipset. Discussions on WindowsForum.com cover gaming performance on Windows 7 versus Windows 8, where users note driver availability issues for Windows 8. Another common topic is resolution problems, such as being unable to set a monitor to its optimal 1600x900 resolution, with the maximum available being 1280x1024. Users troubleshoot by trying different video drivers and monitor drivers, and some find that the correct resolution works in Ubuntu but not in Windows. These threads highlight the Intel X3100's limitations with modern operating systems and display configurations.
