invalid handle

About this tag
The 'invalid handle' error on Windows typically occurs when a program or system component cannot access a resource due to a corrupted or mismatched handle. In the context of printing, this error often appears after updating the .NET Framework or when trying to print over a wireless network. Common scenarios include HP printers on Windows 7 and Windows XP, where the printer is detected but fails to print, showing 'invalid handle' or spooling issues. Troubleshooting steps may involve reinstalling printer drivers, checking network connections, or repairing .NET Framework installations.
