i/o overlap
About this tag
The tag i/o overlap on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about I/O overlap errors in virtual networking, particularly within VMware Workstation on Windows builds. A recurring issue involves the message 'I/O overlap on vmnet0' or similar on vmnet8 (NAT), causing bridged networking to fail and virtual machines to lose LAN or internet connectivity. This problem has been observed in Windows builds such as 7000 and 7022, with users seeking fixes or confirmation of resolution in newer builds. The tag is relevant for troubleshooting VMware networking problems on Windows, especially in enterprise IT or development environments where virtual machines are used.
Hi guys
Another question for users of Build 7022.
On Build 7000 (X-32) vmware networking seemed to be broken -- on Bridged Networking you'd get message I/O overlap on vmnet0 - device will start disconnected. Same for vmnet8 (NAT).
This meant you would have problems on connecting to your LAN...
