The Jelly Bean Finder tag on WindowsForum.com covers discussions about using the Jelly Bean Finder tool to retrieve Windows product keys, specifically from hidden partitions or pre-installed systems. In the tagged content, a user describes running Jelly Bean Finder on an Acer laptop to obtain a 25-digit Windows 8 serial number from a hidden partition. The goal is to use that key to perform a clean installation of Windows 8, removing the hidden partition to enable dual-booting with Linux. This tag is relevant for users seeking to recover or reuse Windows licenses from OEM installations, particularly when planning to modify their system configuration.

My Acer-V5 laptop has a hidden partition with Windows 8 on it.
I ran Jelly-Bean Finder and got my 25 digit serial number. Could I get/download a copy of Windows 8, use MY serial number, and wipe the whole drive? Then install Windows 8, without any hidden partition?
I want to do all this...
